1. Operator and scope

CareHomesWA.com is operated by Elavise LLC, doing business as Care Homes Washington (“we,” “us,” or “our”). These terms describe the conditions for using our directory and related account and listing services. If you do not agree, do not use those services. Where applicable law requires affirmative agreement, merely posting these terms does not replace that requirement.

You must be at least 18 to create an account or submit information and have authority to act for any person or business you represent. We are an independent directory and are not affiliated with or endorsed by Washington State.

2. Directory only — not care or professional advice

We provide information to help people research adult family homes. We do not provide medical care, operate the listed homes, supervise their staff, or guarantee that a facility is appropriate for anyone. Site content and responses to inquiries are not medical, legal, financial, or individualized professional advice and do not create a professional care relationship.

Contact qualified professionals for individual care decisions. This website is not an emergency service; call 911 for an emergency. Families and facilities are responsible for their own agreements, admissions, payments, services, and decisions.

3. Verify information independently

Listings may come from public records, imports, facility representatives, or other sources and may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. Verify licensing, inspection history, care capabilities, staffing, costs, Medicaid participation, vacancies, accessibility, and all important details directly with the facility and appropriate state authorities before making decisions.

Map pins, city labels, distances, and directions are estimates, not surveyed locations or guarantees of travel time. Some locations are approximate or awaiting verification. A vacancy indication is not a reservation or promise of admission; estimated prices are not binding quotes.

A claimed or verified badge indicates a listing-management or administrative verification step, not a government certification, safety inspection, endorsement, or guarantee of care quality. Administrative approval of a listing or edit does not certify every statement in it.

4. Accounts, claims, and facility content

Use accurate information, keep credentials secure, and promptly report unauthorized access. Do not impersonate a facility, submit false license evidence, or claim a listing without authority. We may request evidence of your authority, review submissions, correct errors, and suspend misleading or abusive activity.

Representatives are responsible for the accuracy and legality of their descriptions, prices, availability, photos, and other uploads. Submit only material you own or are authorized to use, including permission from identifiable people where required. Do not upload residents’ medical records or unnecessary personal information.

You retain ownership of your content and grant us a nonexclusive license to store, format, reproduce, and display it as needed to operate and promote your listing and this directory. This does not authorize selling private health information. Private verification documents are not public listing photos. Contact us to request correction or removal; legal retention requirements and backup processes may apply.

Claims and edits may require administrative approval before publication. A stated 24–48 hour review window is an estimate, not a guaranteed publication deadline.

5. Sponsored listings and paid services

Sponsored placement is advertising, not an endorsement, quality rating, or guarantee of leads, visitors, occupancy, revenue, or a particular search position at all times. Search location, radius, filters, other sponsored listings, and service availability affect placement.

Any purchase is governed by the price, billing interval, included features, renewal terms, taxes, and cancellation or refund terms clearly presented before checkout. A promotional price does not authorize a later undisclosed price increase. Viewing a plan or these terms does not authorize a charge. Recurring charges require your express agreement.

If you subscribe, use the cancellation method provided with your subscription or contact hello@carehomeswa.com for assistance. Mandatory cancellation, refund, and other consumer rights remain available. These terms do not add a blanket nonrefundable-payment rule or override a more favorable express offer.

6. Acceptable use and third-party services

Do not interfere with security, access another person’s account, distribute malicious software, harass others, send spam, misuse personal information, or unlawfully copy content. We may restrict access reasonably necessary to protect the service, its users, or comply with law.

Links, maps, payment services, state records, and facility websites may be supplied by third parties with their own terms and privacy practices. We do not control their availability, content, or services. Public listing information may originate from government records; coordinates may use U.S. Census or Google geocoding, and typed location search uses OpenStreetMap. Visible attribution and third-party notices remain applicable.

7. Privacy

Read our Privacy Policy and separate Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy for information about personal data, location services, and privacy requests. Agreement to these terms is not consent to sell consumer health data or to collect or share sensitive information where separate consent is required.

8. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the directory is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, completeness, uninterrupted availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or noninfringement. We cannot promise that all errors will be identified or that a listing will remain current. This disclaimer does not override an express written commitment or a warranty that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Limitations of liability and protected rights

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Elavise LLC and its personnel are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits or business opportunities, arising from use of this directory. To that same extent, aggregate liability for claims relating to the website or our listing services is limited to the greater of $100 or the amounts you paid us for the affected service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

These limitations do not exclude or limit liability for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, or any liability or remedy that applicable law does not allow to be excluded or limited. They do not waive nonwaivable consumer, privacy, health-data, or other statutory rights. Some exclusions may not apply to you. Independent facilities remain responsible for their own conduct; nothing here excuses our own conduct where the law imposes responsibility.

10. Changes, applicable law, and contact

Washington law governs these terms to the extent permitted by law, without depriving you of mandatory protections that apply where you live. These terms do not impose mandatory arbitration or a class-action waiver. You may contact regulators or use any legal remedy available to you.

We may revise these terms prospectively and will post the updated date. Material changes will receive additional notice or consent where required; a posted change does not retroactively remove accrued rights. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions apply to the extent lawful.
